Two applicants will be selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship toward the Headlines Barber Academy Barbering Program.

How to Apply
• Fill out the application and personal questionnaire completely
• Provide 3 individuals of professional reference
• Submit a 1–2-minute video answering all questions
• Submit a 750-word minimum essay answering all prompts
Scholarship & Tuition Information
Each recipient will receive a $2,500 scholarship toward the $10,000 Headlines Barber Academy Barbering Program, reducing program tuition to $7,500.
Please note: A $1,600 down payment is required before beginning school. Students are also responsible for the remaining tuition balance and required monthly payments.
Full-Time: $737.50/month
Part-Time: $590/month
Scholarship recipients must maintain their required tuition payments throughout the program. Failure to maintain required payments may result in forfeiture of the remaining scholarship award.

HBA Scholarship FAQs Who is eligible to apply? Individuals aged 18 and older, with a high school diploma, transcript, or GED. Wants to enroll in the barber styling program and wants to begin classes in November or December of 2026. No exceptions (Must begin school before the end of 2026).
What do I need to apply? Complete a 750-word typed essay answering four essay questions and submit a one-to-two minute video answering all mandatory questions.

Great Jobs KC Job Training Program provides adults 17 and overlooking to create a better future with access to tuition-free job training programs in high-paying and high-demand industries.
The mission of Great Jobs KC is to provide access to college scholarship and tuition-free job training along with job placement assistance to secure family-sustaining jobs for low-to-modest income individuals in the Kansas City area.
Great Jobs KC Training Program Requirements
· Adults age 17 and over
· Earn less than $45,000 per year
· Have high school diploma or equivalent
· Live in one of the 6 eligible counties Cass (MO), Clay (MO), Jackson (MO), Platte (MO), Johnson (KS), Wyandotte (KS)

Once enrolled in a Great Jobs KC Program, our Scholar Support Services Team can work with each Scholar and their Scholar Advocate when life doesn’t go according to plan. We can help identify available resources and make personalized referrals where possible. Great Jobs KC and community partners collaborate to support Scholars through emergency situations with:
